Matiu Rota

Matiu Rota has a Bachelor's Degree in Counselling. He is a Maori male Counsellor in Nelson, working with trauma. He has over 30 years of lived experience from a vast range of areas. He presents his work from a bi-cultural perspective drawing from his own "bi-cultural-ness". He has a love for people and claims that if he can change his life then anyone can. Matiu embraces all cultures, genders and spiritual beliefs. He is strong on respect and has a warm, quiet and gentle manner that is inviting to many. Matiu works from a range of Western modalities and Maori models of health. Delivering them in a unique and skilled way.
